Donald R. Wise

Donald R. "Don" Wise, 48, of 1826 N. County Road 900 E., Lafayette, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, in his home.

Born Aug. 14, 1955, in Lafayette, he graduated from Harrison High School in 1973 and attended Purdue University.

He married Michelle G. Milner in Geetingsville on June 17, 1983. She survives.

Mr. Wise was a lifelong Tippecanoe County farmer, and was a member of the Buck Creek Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

He attended Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette, was formerly on the Perry Township Advisory Board and was a member of the Indiana Volunteer Fireman Association. He enjoyed art and was an avid outdoorsman.

Surviving with his wife are three sons, Gabriel K. Wise, Zachary C. Wise and Ethan C. Wise, and a daughter, Elisabeth A. Wise, all at home; his parents, Ralph and Carmen Wise of Lafayette; and a sister, Norma Huffman (husband: Levi) of Lafayette.

Funeral Notice

Friends may call from 2 p.m. Friday until services at 6 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi, Darrell Boyd officiating. Private family burial at Wise Cemetery. Friends of the family are welcome to call at the home of Ralph and Carmen Wise after 1 p.m. Thursday. Preceded in death by an infant brother, Daniel Lee Wise. Survivors include a niece, a nephew and many cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Buck Creek Fireman's Fund, envelopes available at the funeral home.
